In the 1.30am incident, Dong Sian Sing, a Myanmar, was crossing the highway when he was hit by a Perodua Viva car, heading towards Shah Alam and was flung onto the opposite lane.
Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed said the victim was then run over by another vehicle, a Toyota Hilux before it crashed into the divider, killing two of its passengers.
"Two of the five passengers in the Toyota Hilux were thrown out of the vehicle."
Arjunaidi said police had identified the dead passengers as Htet Iwin Zaw, 29, a Myanmar, and Mohd Yurusyahmi Yusob, 21, both attached to a billboard advertising company.
"Two others in the Hilux were severely injured while the driver received outpatient treatment," Arjunaidi said.
He said the Viva driver had lodged a police report while police were waiting for the others to do so.
