Why do we sing praises and worship to God?
Praise and worship is one element that every church does. Even praise and worship have great impact to every worshipers in the church. In spiritual side, songs of praise and worships strengthen our spirit. It gives our spirit the strength from Holy Spirit to stand up against any evil spirit's attack whilst the remained gospel in-self makes the devil even harder to get to us.
Even in Jesus's time, when they gather, they sing a song of praise in Matthew 26:30. That greatly shows that praise and worship are an important element in our life, in our gathering and our family.
To me, songs of praise are like a prayer to God. It can also be a thanksgiving prayer, praising prayer, living a better life prayer and all short of positive prayer, because there are no negative prayer!
If you notice that when we listen to a love song from tv shows or where ever we can get to hear, most of the love song is a song about negativity -broken hearted, disappointment, adultery etc.-. Once we sang the song, then the devil hears it, then they will apply it to our life. I used to listen to many 'worldly' song and sing along, then now I realized that all that songs has been affecting my life ever since. How I have lived a sinful life..but now I am saved and back to gospel song. Gospel songs are definitely the best song above all in this world.
Although there are a lot of 'beautiful' gospel songs composed by great christian worshipers, the only greatest worship song come from the depth of our heart, where we truly address the praise and worship to our heavenly Father, Lord Jesus.
So now, start looking for gospel songs and praise Jesus with all your heart!!! Be Blessed!
