I remember watching and reading those rich guys profile, admiring them because of their rich-ness, or successful band or people I know became a professional in what they are doing..I thought to myself, I want to be like them! But it is not as easy as it may seems to be..
Few days ago I watched the DREAMTHEATER 20 years anniversary. In the documentary, they talk about how they persistently chasing their dreams to express their music to people. Now, not only they perform to show their music, but they achieve greatness pass their dream. See, amazing right? Become successful in something..but less that I know how they walk their steps towards this amazing-ness.
First, there were two good friends that lived in the neighborhood. They shared the same music taste and jammed along very well, John Petrucci & John Myung. They went to Berklee College and met Mike Portnoy. They jammed along together, they even drop out from their study to pursue or focus their band. In the documentary, they said they would jamm after work, every day, every night. They have to move to several places. In 1985 they formed a band called Majesty. They filled concerts and record demo in 1986 - 1987. There was also this group called Majesty in Las Vegas and threatened to take legal actions for intellectual property. In 1988 Dream Theater became their new band name and stuck until now. They keep continue doing what they love to do. You see, through the years they performed in concerts and making album, their have several ups and downs including searching for vocalist that suit their preferences, keyboardist that got fired and left until they finally have permanent keyboardist - Jordan Rudess. All the things that could stop them did not stop them at all!
And then there's this Young Businessman - Azri. You can read the here http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Nation/2015/03/22/Meet-the-material-guy/.
What interest me is that he took every opportunity he have to do a business. It seems like he used almost all of his time to think of a new plan, new business thingy and all. He finally became 'rich' at the age of 26 (owning a BMW makes him rich though). The thing is, he also have a lots of ups and downs. He built chalets but then flood struck down - but it's now under renovation. He join a competition and did not successful but then he tried again and then he was successful.
As I read through and place myself in their foot, I might have gave up. Being successful is not always about having the good thing on your side but also learning from mistakes and downfall.
Then there's this thing happened to me this morning when I'm having my breakfast..a person called Harris asked me if I want to join a business (good business he said, and as always not mentioning what company or what business) which I am quite fade up with because of the past experiences and that I have to do thing I dislike (or maybe I'm not into that kind of business eh?). Still thinking/considering whether should I meet him tonight or not.
Good day & God Bless!

Work Again. =)
Pheww..I have been neglected my blog for......3 months now? Whoa..that was a long time, but now it seems short because of my bustle. Well now I am here to post something about work, again. Hehe..Nahh, I'm sure it's not that boring, if you're interested..LOL..
Okay now, I've been at Labuan for a week. For the past one week, I have been to HSE Commitee Meeting, writing letter to Department of Environment Labuan
as well to JKKP Putrajaya
and today I wrote a letter to BOMBA requiring them to hold a Basic Fire Fighting / Fire Safety talk at our premise.

Basically what I do is to require DOE and DOSH to approve our sand blasting room. The BOMBA, I already stated up there.
Now that I have completed these task, my job now is to wait for DOE approval and then conduct CHRA, noise mapping, write to DOE again for approval of using used garnet as concrete slab and continue to keep recording the used chemical.
Bye. (^_^)v Peace

Wohooo!!!! Banyak kerja saya!! Boring!!!! Stress!!! Aiseh, biasalah, first time kerja memang terasa kerja sangat2 banyak dan berat..sebab belum tahu buat kan..
Walaubagaimanapun, pengalaman kerja yang pertama adalah pengalaman yang sukar dicari, nanti sudah veteran, boleh jg cerita2 dgn budak2 baru..haha..masa di sekolah, atau kursus, saya pasti banyak kali kena cakap "oh kamu belajar tinggi2 spy dpt kerja yg bagus", "lpas kursus kompom dpt kerja!"..chehhh..siapa bilang senang..haha..
Apapun, mksud saya sini ialah, mencari kerja memerlukan kesungguhan..kadang2 lucky lah, macam saya..hehehe....tapi first time saya masuk kerja, mcm...pow!!!! bertan2 batu d belakang.
Good Day!! =)

GOD, WORK & SUCCESS
Today is my 4th week working, next two days are my full month in HSAP SDN. BHD. as a Document Controller and Safety Supervisor.
You know, I get hard time to do these two jobs at the same time. I almost surrender. It wasn't easy for my level. Then I complain to my loved one, Milhayane, that I felt so down I almost can't take it. But then she gave me this words;
"Do you remember Nick Vujicic? He can do almost everything. Why can't you?"
She got me thinking though. Yes, she was right. She got the point. Then she added;
"Jesus is there, you must pray harder and harder."
I feel light afterwards. I'm motivated. But yet, my job is still hard. Well, this is how most people felt when they're going through first time experience in their so-called "GOOD CARRIER".
Then I think to my self again, success is not something we can reach without ups and downs. Success is something we can poses after we win the battle against our barrier, the obstacles. Outside there, is not very much like what we've encountered or imagined in school. There are more aggressive people, hard headed people and 'thaichi' people, by the mean 'thaichi' is someone who would release his fault to another person.
Well, the world is cruel they said. But to me, the human are the cruelest, not the world.
So far, I just stay calm and relaxed. May GOD be with me. Amen.
Good Day =)

Second Day
17th April 2012
I woke up as early as 6.00 am today. That’s because I can’t
stay asleep anymore since I slept on about 8.30/9.00 pm last night. Well, in an
air-conditioned room, who would not fall asleep fast right?..ahaa..
So today there are quite many tasks I’ve done. Somehow, it’s
not that hard or heavy task at all, yet not that much. I’ve been helping buying
some foods and goods with the Boss, Mr. Francis and David using the company
car; CYGNUS..hahaha..kebaruan naik Cygnus…
At Papar, the boss invited us to go to eat breakfast at a
chinese restaurant. There I ordered a meehun sup mixed pork meat while my boss
ordered dim sum (a lot of dim sum), such a huge breakfast. I got so full that I
almost threw up LOL. Then we go buy things lah..
I was taken to go inside the site by David, although I
haven’t been to safety induction, so I just stay calm, meaning tapuk2
lahh..haha..But we passed the gate. Rules on site are;
1.
Wear overhead protection (safety helmet).
2.
Safety Glasses.
3.
Long-sleeve shirt or coverall.
4.
Dust protection mask.
5.
Must be safety briefed (safety induction).
6.
Must be a sub-con/main-con personnel
(contractor).
7.
Vehicle speed limits 20 km/h.
8.
Stop at the gate for security inspection (in or
out).
9.
In and out card scan for supervisor and general
worker.
10.
Always think safety.
While I was there, there are not much task I can do since I
haven’t introduced about what to do (yet). I helped David to prepare the ‘In
and out’ tag for workers or personnel in HSAP for headcount purpose. AND THAT
IS THE FIRST TIME I USED THE LAMINATING MACHINE…..which is, COOL MAN!!!..I
mean, the device is producing heat to laminate the paper (we bought a special
laminating plastic lah for this,,) inside the laminating card, and it’s so new
for me..ahaa..well, the device is worth RM3xx.00..it can fit A3 laminating.
At three, I have Safety Interview at the Site Main Office by
John See, Health, Safety & Environment Manager (HSE Manager) –While waiting
for him, SHO Vincent make a joke about the Korean name “OH, In Tae” the Safety Deputy.
Then at the interview I was asked about my experience, if I got the Yellowbook
and then he explained that my experience is not enough so he put me into
‘Safety Promoter’ which I do not know what is it about. Perhaps, the one that
Go to site to site to tell about safety..it’s a little bit like SHO but without
the report to make. This position kinda’ funny to me. But it’s okay it’s
alright.
See, the world we
live is not that easy as we think. To start another level “We must begin again
from zero in that level” – Sidney Mohede. As for me, to be Site Safety
Supervisor in Oil & Gas Business, I need at least 5 years experiences as
SSS. To be a SHO, need another 5, in total 10 years (at least). To put it
easily, let me make a timeline for being Oil & Gas SHO.
1. Safety Promoter. 1-3 years.
2. Site Safety Supervisor Assistant. 4 - 5
3. Site Safety Supervisor. 5 - 10
4. Safety Officer Assistant.* 10 - 15
5. Safety Officer.* 15 - 20
6. Safety & Health Officer Assistant. 20 - 22
7. Safety & Health Officer. 22 - 25
8. Health, Safety & Environment Officer
Assistant. 25 - 26
9. Health, Safety & Environment Officer. 26 - 27
10. Health, Safety & Environment Manager
Assistant. 27 - 28
11. Health, Safety & Environment Deputy. 28 - 30
12. Health, Safety & Environment Manager. 30
** Just anggaran..hahaha..but it’s true that to get the SHO title is not easy as what they said
in the safety class.
I think that’s my advice for today. Bye.. =)

1st Day on HSAP
Today is 16th April 2012. This day is my first
time working at a bigger company; Oil & Gas based company, HSAP.
When I first arrived here at their yard to report in – I
arrived at 11 am – my will-be mentor ‘David’ or real name Mojimis Gontirik told
me to wait. At about 11.50 am, Mr. Jalil (or ‘second boss’) arrived and invited
me inside the yard hostel. He talked about why they put me in Admin/Document
Control position for three months’ probation. For the time being I will be with
David to learn about DC works because David is leaving the company at the end
of this month or 30th April 2012.
Mr. Jalil also explained to me that I am not necessarily in
the Admin only as I applied for SSS (Site Safety Supervisor) position; hence I
will be also learning the Safety & Health works through time to time.
My first task today are following David to buy stationeries and
evening rest food for the workers at the site and who works at the yard. Then
at the yard I prepared their orange drink. After evening rest (3.45 pm) they
all continue their work and I left in the hostel alone. I started to tidy up
the place and sweep the floor (well, sound like ‘amah’ right?) as that is what
I do in admin in general.
About the salary, I asked about RM1800 for basic and Mr. Jalil
said; “The amount you stated is the amount we will pay you.” So I am relieved
but of course they have the right to decrease or kick me out from the company
if they’re not impressed with me or in the other words, I am poor in my job
performance.
I have about 15 days to learn EVERYTHING that David knows.
Which mean, if I failed in any task, I am in great danger, so do David’s company testimony. This could also mean,
David will have hard time to pursue his dream in Business field.
So far in my 7 hours new job, I am doing light work. I don’t
know what will happen tomorrow but I’m sure that GOD will always arrange a good
thing for me. I’ll do my best. Thank You Lord Jesus for everything and God
Bless to anyone reading this. Have A Nice Day =)
